I am a church staff member having an issue supervising a young, new part-time employee. I came up with a schedule and job description including record-keeping that I thought was fair. He was to start this week but it is now Thursday afternoon and he hasn't done any work. I heard earlier in the week that he did not like my schedule and thinks I don't trust him because I want him to work when the office is open and require him to keep records of maintenance done, etc. Is this a generation thing, a lack of communication or something else?
