John Townsend
My daughter was diagnosed with ADHD many years ago. We explored all the non-medication routes but nothing worked for her. It turned out that she was an excellent candidate for medication, and has responded really well to that for years. Now she's seventeen and is resentful that she needs medication "just to be like everyone else." She wants to quit her meds, right when she's going off to college. I'm afraid she'll go back to square one, but with the stakes much higher. How do I respond?
